Finally, the elephant bags are done. There's always distractions to keep you away from sewing.I ended up making a lunch bag, using PUL for the inside, for easy cleanup. Don't worry if you're thirsty you can fit a gallon jug of milk and a carton of OJ.The tote is actually reversible. the inside is red canvas with 2 pockets. DD can't wait to use the lunch bag at work tomorrow!
Can't believe summer is moving so quickly. I had a few things that I really want to finish before it is over. I also don't want to spend the lovely days chained to the sewing machine to do that. When it is hot and humid, or pouring rain, it's great to throw yourself into the project at hand. but this past week has been beckoning to be outside mowing, gardening or just reading on the deck. The projects can wait. I have been making slow progress on the elephant bags. One is supposed to be a lunch bag for DD who is going to be abroad for the fall semester, so only has a month left to use it. How do you balance time when you want to be doing two different things. The age old question relates even to sewing! Here is a sneak peak at the unfinished bags.
Blessed with being an at home mom of 4 for the past 24 years. I'm starting a new chapter of life as a part-time empty nester as the youngest is off to college. Spending more time creating and sewing.
